IN CASE YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW:

A person injured in a traffic accident is any person who has suffered minor, moderate or severe bodily injury as a result of an accident.

The DRIVER of a road vehicle involved in an accident is obliged, without endangering the traffic on the road, to stop in order to establish the consequences of the accident.


IN THE ACCIDENT OF PEOPLE:
The DRIVER is obliged to:
- to notify the police authorities of the Ministry of Interior;
- to remain at the scene of the accident and wait for the arrival of the competent bodies of the Ministry of Interior;
- until the arrival of the police, if necessary, to take measures for traffic safety and to provide assistance to the victims, if this does not pose a danger to him;
- not to move the vehicle if it does not interfere with the movement, as well as not to change its condition until the arrival of the police, unless it is necessary to transport the victims with it to the medical institution. He is then obliged to return to the scene immediately;
- to take measures to keep the traces of road accidents until they are fixed or described by the competent services;
- not to consume alcoholic beverages until the arrival of the control bodies.

In case of an accident ONLY WITH PROPERTY DAMAGES:
The DRIVER is obliged to:
- to render assistance for establishing the damages from the accident;
- if there is an agreement between the participants in the accident regarding the circumstances related to it, they move the vehicles so as not to obstruct the traffic, AND COMPLETE THEIR DATA IN A BILATERAL ACCIDENT STATEMENT PROTOCOL;
- if there is no agreement between the participants in the accident regarding the circumstances related to it, they, without leaving the scene, notify the police authorities of the Ministry of Interior in the territory where the accident occurred and follow the instructions given to them.

EVERY PARTICIPANT in an accident is obliged to provide information about his identity and compulsory motor third party liability insurance to motorists at the request of other road users, and, depending on the consequences of the accident, to notify the owners of the property damaged as a result. of the accident.
A driver of a motor vehicle who is not involved in an accident, when he arrives at the scene of the accident, is obliged, as necessary:
- to take measures to ensure traffic safety and to provide assistance to the victims, if this does not pose a danger to him;
- to notify the police authorities or the administration of the municipality on whose territory the accident took place, if there are any injured persons in the accident.


MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS CONTROL SERVICES
The control services of the Ministry of Interior MUST VISIT the place of the accident when:
- a person was killed or injured in the accident;
- THERE IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE ACCIDENT REGARDING THE CIRCUMSTANCES RELATED TO HIM;
- it is suspected that a participant in the accident is under the influence of alcohol and / or narcotic substances or their analogues or does not have the necessary rights to drive a motor vehicle;
- the accident has one participant and the vehicle is not able to move on its own due to the damage caused by the accident;
- the accident caused a traffic jam;
- the accident involves a vehicle transporting dangerous goods or cargo that has been scattered on the road, and as a result creates a danger to traffic;
- the accident is with the participation of vehicles of the Ministry of Defense or the Bulgarian Army, as well as allied and / or foreign armed forces passing through the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria or residing there; in this case, the Military Police Service shall be notified to the Minister of Defense.


PREPARATION OF DOCUMENTS DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE ACCIDENT

Ordinance зIz-41 of 12 January 2009 on the documents and the procedure for drawing them up in case of an accident and the procedure for informing between the Ministry of Interior, the Financial Supervision Commission and the Guarantee Fund regulates the documents prepared in the event of an accident. their compilation and the procedure for exchange of information between the Ministry of Interior and the Guarantee Fund for the occurred road accidents.
The following documents are drawn up for the accident:
- statement of findings for road accidents with injured persons;
- accident report with material damages;
- bilateral statement of findings for the accident.

- In case of an accident with injured persons, a statement of findings for the accident is drawn up and a detailed plan-scheme of the accident is prepared by the bodies of the Traffic Police. The report on accidents with injured persons shall be drawn up within one month from the date of the accident.
- In case of an accident with material damage, a report on an accident with material damage is drawn up
- When only material damages are caused in the accident and there is an agreement between the participants in the accident regarding the circumstances related to it, they fill in their data in a bilateral accident report. A bilateral statement of findings shall not be completed provided that there is a suspicion that a participant in the accident is under the influence of
